Holy matrimony marks the beginning of a covenantal relationship between two people. It is our desire, here at St. Luke's, to provide a setting which emphasizes the sacramental nature of your marriage.

Because Christian marriage is a solemn and public covenant between two persons in the presence of God, marriage is taken very seriously by the clergy and people of this parish. Consequently, weddings will normatively be performed in the Church.

Throughout the preparations, the clergy and people of St. Luke's commit themselves to providing a community of support and nurture to those entering into a Christian marriage. It is the parish's desire to provide a parish family and home for those who are married here, a place where the couple's relationship together as individuals can grow and flourish in Christ. We know that it is difficult to maintain a marital relationship in today's culture. We wish to help you "stack the deck" in your favor with God's help.

We have a general outline, intended to provide information which may be helpful in planning your wedding. The clergy and the Wedding Director will be able to answer any other questions that may arise. It is important to remember that the parish priest, or Rector, is solely responsible for all decisions concerning the conduct of the wedding ceremony and rehearsal at St. Luke's.
