Taking Time
The circle of ignorance
gets smaller day by day
when taking time to open our eyes
and looking with open hearts.
Growth may seem impossible
until we understand
that reaching out draws others in
and introduces thoughts---
Some thoughts that we had laid aside---
so many years ago,
and others that quite fit the need
our hearts are crying for.
Our hearts and minds and eyes and ears
work fabulously well,
if we allow them space and time
to intergrate what they aborb.

Traveling
The road we travel may twist and turn.
What happens along the way will last
if we are open and willing to see
how we relate at each new point.
The dancing me that's been buried inside
may rise at the sound of music afar
to twist and turn and run with the wind.
Yet the quiet me will stop at the edge.
What fun for the mes to get acquainted,
to trust each other and then to encourage
still other mes, hiding inside,
to venture forth and join the adventure!
The scenery ---trees and birds and beasts,
and all the people there ---
are wonderfully a part of me, too,
unless I pull shades and shut them out!
